On behalf of The Learning Center staff, we welcome new and returning students. The Learning Center is a program designed for both 9th-12th grade students who have received prior approval from the Valley Center High School to attend, as well as adult students who wish to work toward completing the requirements for graduation and earn their Valley Center High School Diploma.

The Valley Center High School Driver’s Education Program will be offered this summer. Enrollment will be March 2 and 3, 2026.

Valley Center High School senior Kayden Lankford was recently named a 2026 recipient of Wichita State University’s prestigious Harry Gore Memorial Scholarship.

Valley Center High School math teacher Nolan Crumrine has been recognized as a Horizon Award winner by the Kansas State Department of Education.

With the continued growth of USD 262 and the upcoming opening of Valley Park Elementary School, the district will implement elementary school attendance boundaries beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

Valley Center High School students participating in the district’s internship program presented their experiences at this year’s Internship Showcase on Friday, December 12, giving peers and staff a firsthand look at the opportunities available through real-world learning.

The USD 262 Board of Education is expected to approve the hire of Chris Edwards as the administrator of the district's new Supplemental Learning Center during its meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025.
